Klaire Lander BSc (Hons), MA, MRTPI

Klaire Lander is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has over twenty years experience working in the planning profession. Klaire has gained invaluable experience of the public sector working at Canterbury City Council as a Planning Officer. Subsequently Klaire worked at Barton Willmore as a Senior Planner and then at DHA Planning as an Associate Planner where she worked for eight years advising individuals, organisations and developers.

Professional Experience

Whist in previous roles, Klaire has gained consent for numerous residential, commercial, Listed Building and other projects including:

  • A 130 bedroom hotel, conference centre, spa and associated facilities at the London Golf Club, Stansted (in the Green Belt and open countryside).
  • The redevelopment of a site occupied by an office building in Sidcup for a halls of residence for the Rose Bruford College, a 106 bedroom hotel, studio space and commercial (A1 and A3) floorspace.
  • Managing the Kent Police property portfolio to get best value from the redevelopment of their sites. Planning permissions included the redevelopment of Gravesend Police Station to provide 86 flats and 923sqm of commercial floorspace.
  • The development of 27 homes on a designated employment site, Maidstone.
  • The redevelopment of a poultry farm to provide eight detached houses in the Green Belt, Stansted.
  • A new commercial building for Tesla Engineering in the open countryside, Storrington.
  • A replacement house in the Green Belt, Fryerning.
  • Part demolition and extension of a Listed building, Epsom.
  • Dealing with enforcement notice appeals.
